Cabernet Veneto I.G.T.

Veneto

Cabernet Veneto is an alternative to the more traditional Italian Cabernet from the Tuscan areas. Originating in France, Cabernet is one of the world’s most widespread grape varieties. Thanks to its adaptability, it has given rise to a great variety of wines famous for their age-worthiness and quality.

Winegrowing areas and vineyards

Between Vicenza and Padua, in the Colli Berici area, lies the home of Cabernet Veneto La Cacciatora: a hilly landscape of woods, vineyards and cultivated fields, dotted with small towns and Palladian villas.

This is an excellent terroir for great red wines thanks to its soils and altitude. The soils originate mainly from marly limestone, calcareous conglomerates, red clays and basaltic rocks of volcanic origin. The altitude of the vineyards – up to 500 metres a.s.l. – ties in with the pre-alpine system on the one hand while on the other hand it is influenced by the nearby Adriatic Sea, mitigating the extreme temperature ranges that occur not only seasonally but also in the day-night cycle.

Tasting Notes

Our Cabernet Veneto is an international product that perfectly expresses the quintessence of an entire geographical area.

Brilliant ruby red with cyclamen-colored highlights. The nose releases intense aromas of berries, fresh red fruit and cherries. On the palate it is dry, fresh, with pleasant tannins. Try it with red meat dishes, game, mature cheeses and spicy dishes.
